Customers with 'purchase prohibited' tag cannot purchase

Completely prohibits purchases by customers with the ‘purchase prohibited’ tag. When customers with this tag try to checkout, an alert message will be displayed regardless of products or amount.

  1. Create new rule → Click “Create New Rule” button
  2. Configure basic information
    • Title (example): “Prohibited customer limits”
    • Alert message (example): “We’re sorry, but purchases cannot be made with this account at this time”

Enter the following in the condition settings screen:

  • Condition 1
    • Condition type: Customer tags
    • Operator: contains any of
    • Value: purchase prohibited
    • Target customers: Logged-in customers

What this means: When logged-in customers have the ‘purchase prohibited’ tag, the order limits condition is met and checkout will be blocked.

  1. Save rule → After entering all settings, save the rule
  2. Activate → Click “Set active” button to start the limits
  • Problem customer control - Prevent purchases by customers with past troubles
  • Payment delay measures - limit new purchases by customers with outstanding payments
  • Prevent fraudulent use - Block access by customers who engaged in malicious activities
  • Operational safety - Stabilize shop operations and reduce risks
